Baracks, Willian is better, but Payet is probably second. Willian has scored about 7 direct free kicks this season.

I could see how in a team with better players, Payet's tendency to get into tight positions to use tricks to get out of might not work as well as it does with us.

Then again, its not like he's at all greedy. His decision-making is probably his best trait. A lot of players have great technique but they're usually awful at choosing the right pass or shot.

I think the reason we have used 41 players is all those Europa cup games where we fielded mostly youngsters and fringe players

According to the OS we have played 24 players in the Prem, 1 other in the FA Cup (JOB) and another 4 (Henry, Parfitt-Williams, Paige & Nasha) in the Europa making it 29 in total.

In terms of just PL, there are about 20 'regulars' I would say.

Looking at the OS again the stats do not include players not currently at the club, loanees, sales etc so the figure is higher than 29.

Slaven Bilic remains hopeful that Payet will agree an extension, but Goal reports he's not the only West Ham player set for a new contract.
Manuel Lanzini and Cheikhou Kouyate are reportedly also in line for extensions.
