But are football changing rooms that forgiving? I don't think so myself. When the rest of the squad appear to have come together I can't see a way back for him.
Baz, I don't think he has or will, if he does that he will lose out on his portion of the transfer fee.
If he is that desperate to move, especially if it is family reasons you'd think he would hand in an official request... presuming money isn't the reason to engineer the move.
With all his fortunes , and recent loyalty bonus payment, he could also cough up a couple of million, if he's really that desperate for his family & marriage etc...
I don't think he does Barracks. It's clear now that the DDs wont sell at any price just to get shot of him, they are holding out for the 30mil price tag they put on him when all this kicked off.
OM keep offering more money, starting at 22mil and working their way up to yesterday's reported offer of 28.5mil.
If they want he they need to pay the asking price of 30mil and to me at least its clear that is the clubs stance.
I would be disappointed if we did tbh. I can see that argument that £1.5m is very little difference so why quibble, but equally, if its that little difference why don't they just pay it?
The Payet saga could have had a devastating effect on our club. I don't think it can be overstated exactly how much Andy Carroll should be thanked for his effort , passion and goals during this time. Whatever his injury problems I for one love him as a West Ham player and I hate to think what would have happened without him really standing up and giving his all. The manager and other players have done well also but Andy has been a real star who has really helped the team come together instead of falling apart.
Vorse, I do think though that he's hit the nail on the head:
He said: “West Ham’s 3-0 victory at home to Crystal Palace on Saturday showed they don’t need Dimitri Payet.
“When you have someone like Payet at West Ham you have a player that the other lads rely on.
“They look to him for a piece of magic that wins the game. They might shirk a little bit of responsibility.
“But dropping him from the squad galvanises the whole squad. Suddenly other players are stepping up and taking the game by the scruff of the neck.
“This is a team game and you can’t rely on just one individual.
“That result was massive for the club and the fans, but particularly for the players. They now believe they can go out and win convincingly without Payet in the team.”
I know that we are holding out for our price, but at the end of the day an asset is only worth what someone else is willing to pay, it is not as there are that many buyers out there.
He is not that young and I understand that we paid just over £10m for him just a couple of years ago - my vote would be to let him go.
Ince got photo'd in a Man Utd top before he went on holiday (knowing he'd be a Utd player). I dont think for a second it was his idea to have the photo taken (and there's no way he'd have done it if he believed it'd get shown before his move) and he got dogs abuse when the Express published it. IMO he didn't do anything deliberately to antagonize or disrespect the club. Hes a West Ham boy who had a great career. Im pretty sure if there was a disagree button I'd get a few for this. But, for me, Ince and Payet are not the same thing at all

Before viewing a house, make sure you can meet the asking price.

If he had, this would surely have come out.
Maybe he hasn't and has simply downed tools

Yes Paul. You would know about that.

That way the £20/30m can not be wasted this window!
