  • They should be so lucky, talk now about Moyes !!!!

Moyes has now turned into the Ravel Morrison of management everyone knows he has ut as they have seen the replays on you tube but he can't reproduce it for toffee now.
  • Raffa seems to have toon sorted now
Don't want him after what happened
    Justsaying
  • If Slav gets till the end of the season and we finish 11th or below do you get rid of him ;hmm
  • I would keep Slav unless

    1. We play dire football until the end of the season
    2. We go down
  • We will finish top ten and Bilic will walk. ;angry
  • Bilic won’t walk. He won’t get a better job than West Ham, IMO. He hasn’t done enough.
  • I would hate having any other manager then Slav, right now and the immediate future ;ok

    jay,

Whilst I respect your opinion I have to disagree purely based on my aspirations for the club which I wonder whether Slav and the 2 Davids can take us to. ;ok

You only have to read the comments from the owners of Leicester after sacking their manager to see what they expect and surely we are bigger than them?
  • I don't think we're going to get anyone better than Bilic after S&G made such a mess of the Carvalho thing, who'd want to come here and have to work with them?

And unless the Yank is moving to buy them out we are going to have the same owners for the foreseeable future.
  • Iv'e got an idea, what about getting rid of Slav, and bring back bfs

How are you working that out then?

  • Grey,

On what basis are you saying we are not?

We won the World Cup you know. ;biggrin
  • Oh, I see. We are comparing teams based on what was going on 50 years ago.

In which case, fair enough ... but let me tweak your verb tenses to make them more accurate.

    Grey,

Thanks for ignoring the only serious part of my reply. Why are Leicester bigger than us? One season doesn't erase all previous history surely! Even my friends who are Leicester fans don't believe they are the bigger club. ;ok

You said we are bigger than Leicester. I asked how you worked that out?

    You haven't answered.

Your reply has been to ask ME why I think they are a bigger club than WHU.

    I never claimed that.

You can see why I am confused. ;whome
  • I'm confused too.

I haven't said anything since my first post...
  • Are we bigger than Villa, Champions of England 1981 and Champions of Europe 1982, currently 7th in the Championship?

When their new owner bought them in June last year he said his first priority was to get back into the Premier League, get into Europe and be bigger than Real Madrid.

He has ambition. They finished 13th.

    Being ambitious is easy.......

What is a 'Big' club anyway?

I have always supported West Ham because they are West Ham not because they are 'bigger' (or not) than others.

Would I like them to be more successful?

Of course, but would they then be West Ham?

    Mrs Grey,

Two surveys which support my claim. I do appreciate we all have our own criteria so I respect you might believe differently.

  • I couldnt choose which one...

  • Fortune - according to the Wikipedia list we're ranked beneath Villa, Forest, Wolves, Blackburn, Wednesday, Sunderland and Leeds while we're level with Sheffield Utd.

The Talksport list doesn't give the formula they used to calculate the positions

    ;ok

re. criteria, yes... I think any claims that this club is 'bigger' than that club is pointless without specifying some kind of criteria for the calculation.

I'm interested that you like 2 different methods. And I notice that Wikilist is based just on 'honours won' while the Talksport list basically uses the wiki list and adds some other factors. Including number of 'followers' on various social media accounts ;doh
  • Easy. Just measure the area of the respective Stadiums. We have to be up there with the big ones now ;biggrin
  • Queen's Park play home games at Hampden Park, capacity 51866
