I can't see Bilic's contract being extended which leaves us in the situation where the players / manager drift through another season like Big Sam's last season. There does n't seem to be a long term plan our team isn't balanced its all square pegs round holes again or Bilic playing players out of position to fit someone else in the team. I don't have high hopes for this season think its going to be a case of just staying up again.
S&G made "appoint the right manager" the first item of their 10-point pledge, if they don't give Bilic a new contract then we'll have had eight seasons without finding the right manager.
It reminds me of one of my favourite Smiths songs
So tell me how long before the last one? And tell me how long before the right one? This story is old - I KNOW but it goes on

Only if you think there's only one Mr Right (you old romantic you ;wink ) and that what sort of manager the club needs will not change according to circumstances.

Or that the Mr. Right is the one in it for long-term development, able to ride the short-term changes in circumstances ;biggrin
Reporting of Carlo Ancelotti being lined up - I suspect just more lazy journalism on account of him just being sacked, I hope so as do not rate him really and would rather stick with Slav. I would happily take Benitez were he available but not Ancelotti.
We were linked with Ancelotti in May 2011 after he'd been sacked by Chelsea and May 2015 after he'd been sacked by Real Madrid.
In 2011 he said that he'd happily manage us in the Champo but later he semed to have gone off the idea while in 2015 he took a year off to have back surgery

Even though it is purely hypothetical as we already have a manager in situ I would have to strongly disagree about Rafa v Carlo
I don't want to see Bilic go, but for some reason I can see Carlo coming to us and if Slav was to go he would be one of the top of my wish list to replace him.
I can't remember where I saw it, but I am sure I read once that the players normally really respond to him as a manger and play to their best. Although he has been at big teams I don't have him down as a cheque book manager like Jose or Pep.
With a bit of luck he will have a full squad to choose from for our next game ,so I for one still love the guy and would hope he gets the next 3 games and then see where we stand
Suze ;ok I've lost all confidence in him. A win is a win, but we're not playing well and haven't for a while now.
And to be honest, part of me is looking forward to having a manager that I have no strong feelings about. It kills me that Slav isn't doing well and it would make my life a lot easier criticising a manager I feel nothing but indifference to ;lol
I have liked Slav throughout but I am beginning now to doubt him big time after today's performance. There have been plenty of other poor performances under Slav but I have allowed him the benefit of the doubt and all that. No longer. I am beginning to suspect that Slav is a bit of a fraud and no more a football manager than I am. The team that he has at his disposal should be performing at a much higher level. Those last two substitutions today will save him for a little longer but he should have made them much sooner.
I reckon he will be gone by the Jan window. Time for the new person to bring in at least 1 or 2 of their own players. I so wanted him to succeed, or at least show that he can get us moving in the right direction and be given the time to really build a WH for the future. Sadly we don't appear to have any real plan A. We look like a random group of 11 players who can all play football but have never played together before.

Steve, I think nearly all West Ham fans love Bilic as an individual. He always conducts himself exceptionally well and is a credit to our club. However it is alarming that too many performances bear the hallmarks of 11 individuals who take the field and don't actually know what they are supposed to be doing. And this goes back well into last season. It's been far too long and for me, as sorry as I would be to see him go, I think that time has come.
I really love the guy but when looking at the last season and this there has been poor transfer windows (not sure who is to blame) , and a lack of an effective system unsurprisingly due to these players not really being suited. Last season no strikers, this season two strikers he can't match up and one he is not favouring, still no high quality defensive midfielder in the Parker mode. He has spent money but not well in my opinion and last seasons approach was ridiculously designed towards a European competition which we were always unlikely to win. Poor judgment.
I think he should be given more time as there is little reason to change unless someone is available that you cannot let pass, which in my view there isn't. But if he has not found a coherent way to play these players and gaining points by January then time for a change. The team are together and playing for him and this should not be underestimated, and it says to me if I were in charge to hold fire and see how he reacts to the undoubted realisation that his job is on the line.
History may yet suggest he is a passionate manager who has had problems managing transfer policy and yet overcame this and established himself as a genuine premiership standard manager.
or
He is a passionate manager who got more rope than he probably deserved due to being made to look good by Payet in his first season.

Carlo every time for me.
Can't keep operating on a season by season basis. If he isn't the right man for next season they need to replace him with the right man now.
Would take him in a heart beat.
Doesn't make a difference if the players keep making individual mistakes

This win just papers over the cracks.
No longer.

Those managers would never put themselves in a position to manage a squad like ours.
