So happy spain lost

I thought they were awful

They kept posession but literally moved it at a snails pace

Russia were never gonna compete man for man, and after 60 mins they lacked he energy to push spain so i feel there is no shame in them going negative

Erm. Croatia anyone?

The way this World Cup is going I might have a cheeky punt on Denmark ;biggrin

SuzanneClaret

Denmark go ahead in 2 minutes.

I did say ;biggrin

SuzanneClaret

;lol

1-1

I hate these slow to start games ;lol

IronHerb

I'm finding it a lot easier not to comment on the games as there are so many upsets occurring. ;puzzled

chicagohammer

Not greatly impressed with Denmark vs Croatia not a lot of quality on display, not really doing much for me

Ho hum

Yeoldhammer

neither team can shoot for toffee so far. Very combative though so makes it entertaining if somewhat frustrating at the lack of quality.

SuzanneClaret

It’s a truly terrible game.

buffybegood

Drama, pen to Croatia

buffybegood

Saved.

Not a very good pen by Modric, relatively easy save for Schmeical.

IronHerb

Doesn't anyone want to win this World Cup?

MrsGrey

First 10 mins and last 5 were entertaining, anyway.

SuzanneClaret

;lol doesn’t look like it IH.

buffybegood

Goes to pens.

SuzanneClaret

;wahoo

SuzanneClaret

Wow... some of these pens are as bad as the game.

MrsGrey

I'm being very brave and watching them.

buffybegood

2-2 after 8 pens lol, no-one wants to win.

buffybegood

Denmark miss another

buffybegood

Croatia go through.

SuzanneClaret

How gutting is that... you save three pens and still go out.

chicagohammer

Not sure either team deserved that - pleased to be fairly neutral, that must have been awful for those with a more vested interest.

Not sure how the Danish defender avoided a red card but no matter

PrestonHammer

He avoided a red because he made a genuine attempt to go for the ball as opposed to just hacking the player down.

MrsGrey

New rule, apparently, Chicago. If ref judges that the defender made a genuine attempt to get the ball, he can give a yellow. According to our comms ;ok

MrsGrey

;whome

It's really amusing as it's Kasper Schmeichel.

;lol

PrestonHammer

I must have been listening to the same comms Mrs. Grey ;biggrin

Fortuneseeker

Shame Spain lost as they should have had a penalty towards the end of extra time but that would have upset the locals. ;wink

chicagohammer

Thanks, makes sense, on our comms there were to many odd references, he is going for the PK, that is a free kick play and my new pet peeve is the constant reference to the penalty mark.

IT’S A SPOT, SPOT get it, as in Penalty SPOT

Really not difficult

PrestonHammer

Do they call a shot on goal a goal shot? ;lol
