FA Cup 3rd Round

Starting tonight, Swindon v Man City kids.

We all love a cupset, but we all also know it's the PL clubs that win it.

I have to say that I like the radio coverage of mad Saturday when all the commentators are massively excited, and we whizz from ground to ground every time there's a goal.

    .

I vaguely remember a div 2 team from east London winning it around 1980.

There were no PL clubs in 1980 ;-)

That was, according to Google, the last time a team outside the 'top' division won it.

    Coyi
  • Jesus has to be the worst penalty taker in the Prem.
  • Oh dear

I'm going to have to support Palace for 90 minutes

Please no Zaha, please no Zaha, please no Zaha...
  • Oh Jack. πŸ˜‚
  • Not me. I'm supporting Millwall today
  • So before our FA Cup game tomorrow, which would you rather have- win the Cup or finish 4th in the league?

I know all the money implications of being in the Champions League but it’s not all about money is it ( or is it?)?For me it would be winning the cup all day long. I’m just an old romantic I s’pose but Ive got a wonderful picture in my head of Nobes going up to pick up the cup to finish his career.
  • I'd sacrifice 4th, but not Europe altogether.

    We can do that, right?

Ah, the old 'the enemy of my enemy is my friend' ploy.

Cup winners go into the Europa League
  • So the Palace goal would have been disallowed at Selhurst Park. πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ
  • Palace got dominated for large parts of that.

Olise is starting to look like a very useful left footed right winger

But we've already got Bowen for that

M...scum were kicking lumps out of Gallagher
  • Andersen should have been red carded then yellow carded later on but Anthony Taylor decided against. What a surprise.

Though we will need a back up for Mr Bowen come the summer, as his fellow left footed right winger Yarmolenko is almost certain to leave.

(However Olise only joined Palace this summer, so I don't think he will actually be in the frame).
  • Barcodes new signing helping them lose 1-0 so far oops
  • Oh dear how sad never mind
  • Steve Bruce is still available
  • Howe out.

  • Not for some Newcastle fans it would seem.
  • Everton πŸ˜‚
  • See the Beeb have their finger on the pulse yet again -

    17:30
    GOAL - QPR 1-1 Rotherham
    Lyndon Dykes (115 mins)
    Late, late drama!

Lyndon Dykes equalises for QPR in the final minute of extra-time to save the hosts and it looks like we're heading to a penalty shootout!
  • Love the F.A Cup ..........Hope i still do tomorrow =)

Should have had a penalty there. VAR would almost certainly have awarded it.

Really shouldn't be any VAR in the cup competitions if it can't be used in every ground.
  • The forward barged into the Hull player and put him off balance and so the ball hit him as he was falling. No pen.
