  • Danny Rose has joined Newcastle
  • Giroud a good poacher and knows how to score but will want a big wage.Bowen will be too expensive , imo , therefore we'll get neither
  • Giroud won’t help us. Only Arnie or 2002 Ronaldo can run that line up top alone
  • Bubbles,

Isn't that the frustration many air with regard to our owners?
  • Sounds like with regards to Bowen it another loan offer with option to buy etc etc :puzzled:

Clearly not going to be accepted. If Palace and Newcastle are in for him, you'd imagine at least one of them is going to offer cash.
  • Bowen deal is a better one for Hull as it results in them getting more money in the long run, lump sum up front with achievable add ins. Well that is what is being reported.
  • I think the loan with option to buy is a sound one as clubs/players may be more likely to sign if they know that if we go down, which is on the cards, the option is not exercised and they can go again in the summer.

But if he doesn't perform that well then prem clubs might lose interest. Where as if he goes to Newcastle or Palace now for example they will more than likely be a premiership team next season.

Just another way he might look at it :ok:
  •  ExWHUemployee has claimed on Twitter that West Ham are in for Genk right-back Joakim Maehle
  • Maybe Hull trying to get a replacement in

Motherwell have tonight rejected an offer from Hull City for striker James Scott.

The proposed deal is believed to be worth around £750,000 plus add-ons; it’s unclear if Hull will return with an improved offer before the deadline.

  • One way or another we need a proven striker to come in by the end of play tomorrow as otherwise I simply cannot see where the goals are coming from. Haller is (like most) not a lone striker, Antonio is not reliable regard staying fit.

In my view the right back and the midfielder were luxuries if possible the only necessity was a Striker.

  • If the Club have identified Bowen as the guy we need then we need beat any offer from Palace or Newcastle and not mess about with loan options. Should we go down we will need him just as much and as a proven championship scorer he will be ideal. If he needs a clause to say we must accept an offer of what we have paid should we go down fair enough but we cant mess around on the final day of the window when your need is as great as ours.
  • Bowen is a freebie in the summer so a loan deal is of no interest to Hull
  • Ex says progress made on Bowen
  • This according to talksport(not the most reliable of sources)

Reports are emerging that West Ham have won the race to sign Jarrod Bowen.

According to the Athletic's David Ornstein, the Hammers have agreed a deal with Hull to sign the attacking midfielder for a fee of around £22million.

Bowen is set to undergo a medical at the London Stadium at lunchtime, with West Ham fighting off interest from Crystal Palace to get him.

West Ham are said to be paying £14m up front plus a further £8m in add-ons.
