He has had an awfullly long time to make progress particularly in defence and has failed to do so. And likewise on the fitness fromt which is shocking. There is not even the slightest indication that there is any sort of a coherent plan in place when a game kicks off. It is quite simply not acceptable and giving more time to the person reposnible is now not the answer IMO
If more time is to be given it should be to de boer at palace
The Daves have been more than fair to him thus far, and backed him further when previous transfers of Slavs choosing have failed lamentably.
I said this in pre season when everyone kept saying it is only about fitness and nothing else. We didn't look then as if we had any ideas at all and were clueless and all over the place for the most part. I said it looked as if we'd roll up at old Trafford and they would say "we are all fairly fit so now what do we do", Slavs response probably "I don't know it's up to you".
Bilic I hear has decided that he is going to play Hart up front and Arnautovic in goal. He will then be puzzled why they don't perform and decide they want to leave the club.
Paddy Power has Benitez as favourite (5/2) but he's going to want to spend money so unless the Daves can guarantee that he won't have the same problem he currently has at Newcastle then I can't see why he'd be interested.
Second favourite is Roberto Mancini (11/2) although why he should quit Zenit St Petersburg when they're top of the Russian League and are currently the 2nd highest ranked team in the Europa League to come here is beyond me.
On 8-1 we have Simone Inzaghi who is unlikely to leave Lazio unless forced out and Fulham's Slavisa Jankovic. Marco Bielsa is on 9-1 but he only joined Lille in May
Eddie Howe is in there at 11-1, Roger Schmidt of Beijing Sinobo Guoan on 12-1 with Alan Pardew, Roy Hodgson and Marseille's Rudi Garcia all on 14-1.
After that it just gets silly with Ryan Giggs, Brendan Rogers and others.....
As I said I know it's been going on for a while, in fact the defence piece most of his tenure, but people wanted entertainment instead of BFS right? Well this is the transition point for me....he's only got so much time but I fear many of you could be frustrated at least the short term as I don't think he will go yet
Also, if you're gonna ridicule the bloke at least end with a ;lol or something, the other thing I noticed on social media now is many of our fans trying to "hound" Noble out with just sheer abuse, not on imo but a WHU trait for some of our fans unfortunately.
The Dave's would need to move fast, agree to release Rafa from his current deal, sack Bilc, get players in before Friday all that and sully is off on his jollies, not happening I doubt
Would Rafa work for these two? Or perhaps he would convince some players to come? Still that doesn't help with us struggling to get the real big signings over the line last couple of summers
I think SB will still be here and he will get a results against Huddersfield,
I didn't want him when he nearly came to us before and was very pleased Real swooped in when they did.
I didnt want Bilic either but am gutted it appears not to be working.
I do really hope we play much better against Huddersfield and get a win, that we turn some sort of a corner. I do though think the writing is very much on the wall.
I don't think he would want to work with them, I'm not sure he's the answer either. Now there could be an argument that if you can work for (not with as he's not involved day to day) Ashley you could work with anyone?
Even though he was supposedly hours away from signing according to Sully I have my doubts about certain things that our chairmen say. Just my opinion that's all.
Barracks well said. I'm almost willing 6 points from the next two games just to see how many in our fanbase react
How is what have been seeing for ages a transition point ??? At least big Sam knew what he wanted to achieve and how his team was to play . Slav has no idea what way he wants to play or he is terrible at getting his thoughts through to his players . There is also certainly no entertainment in the way Slav's team plays either. As for Noble he was finished at the top level a while ago.
This is so funny, if only I had the time to go back and find your posts about Big Sam, I'm guessing you WERE NOT praising him for having a plan.....especially in those final 3 wins in 21 games and not being backed by the owners in the Jan window when 6th or with a contract extension after doing everything they asked (see the similarities here). Bilic has made some big mistakes that's for sure, he's also given us bundles of entertainment and a player whose the best we've seen in over a decade, he deserves more time imo
Re Noble that's your opinion but less that two years ago he was doing the business, very few did well last season. But you miss my point, it's the way the fans are laying into him not that he shouldn't be removed from the side
Bilic is poor man's Arsen Wenger: attack, attack, attack with no holding or defensive midfielders, no cover for the defense... the difference is, our forwards's efforts are not really supported by attacking midfielders apart from Antonio. Add to the mix our players not training enough, played out of position, and as a result, 3 or 4 goals shipped in every game + we have difficulties with scoring goals. Enough is enough. Somebody has to sort this mess, and it won't be Bilic, simply because he is unable to do so.
Bilic obvious can organise a defence, last season we went three games without conceding a goal (Everton home 0-0, Stoke away 0-0, Spurs home 1-0) and the season before we had three 0-0 draws in a row.
I didn't like big Sam's style but he knew what he wanted and how his team should play. How is that funny?
It's funny because I'd lay a penny to a pound that at the time BFS was struggling you were saying pretty much the same as you are now about Slav, but now you're even using BFS as an example to whip Slaven Bilic
You want him out I get it, you want to end to all things rubbish about WHUFC fine.
I'll carry on backing the manager until o see that there is absolutely no hope and he's been given every chance.
That's where we differ, it's okay it's just opinions

This....and the year before didn't we grind out five draws when we had lots of injuries? The problem as mentioned is getting the balance right between lockdown and attack
Slaven has had an awful lot to deal with during his time at WHUFC, I would argue that he has arguably presided over the 2 most challenging and important seasons in the clubs history- the last season at the Boleyn and the first at the OS with all the baggage that entailed; in addition, our best player leaving and a debilitating injury list throughout clearly has a knock on effect around planning/structure/identity, etc which can only come though consistency and being able to work with a settled squad.Things are improving and when things are settled we have a very good squad and first 11.
It isnt about whether BFS or Pulis' approach is better or whatever because inherently it is simply not right for WHU; That is why BFS left after doing good work, that is why we currently have 50k season ticket holders and that is why despite Pulis' impressive work there are always empty seats at WBA. We have to move away from this battle of ideologies as though it is simply one or the other. Pulis and BFS reduce football to its simplest- football is a game of mistakes and their entire approach is to reduce as many as possible; thats fair enough but it comes at a cost within the wider footballing spectrum as shown by BFS time at the club.
Now is the time to get behind the manager, the coaching staff and players because , the alternative of new manager, new coaching staff, new players, new everything! would only be another short term approach, undoing all the work of previous seasons. Slaven is a great man, a WHU man, a very accomplished manager and a very intelligent man; If given support he will get us back on track and we can still have a great season, it is after all 3 games in and have had to play all away from home + the red card vs Saints. I will leave you with this: during slavens first season we finished 7th- 4 points off 4th. Last season we finished 11th- 1 point off 8th. Whilst they dont provide all the context and colour, nonetheless within the context of WHU's history, Slaven has done very well. Get behind him. ;bowdown ;bowdown ;bowdown ;bowdown
I am not using Big Sam to whip Slaven. I have said that even though I didn't enjoy his style he had a game plan and knew what he wanted. We have a better squad now but there is no style or to me also any game plan it's just a total mess. I don't particularly want Slav to leave I quite like him as a man etc. What I really don't understand is why we are such a rubbish football team when we should be much better with the players we have .
Going on last seasons results though we are already down 7 points on our total..... so in order to just match last seasons poor 11th we need to make up 7 points else where....
As someone said elsewhere when was the last time we were 3pts behind Arsenal and 4pts behind Spurs.......
I can live with no points in August, I expect September to be different especially against WBA when we'll hopefully have everyone available. Antonio, Lanzini and Arnautovic playing behind Hernandez should be something quite enjoyable.

A new manager and offload ac and mn.
The club needs to take conscious steps to move forward instead of drifting aimlessly along with no pattern or shape to our play.
He will then be puzzled why they don't perform and decide they want to leave the club.

So time for everyone at the club and its supporters to pull together and hope we notch our first three points v huddersfield.

Lost to Chelsea, City, Watford, WBA and Saints only beating Bournemouth
