  • Yep. Good luck. I liked him, shame.
  • Good luck Sofiane. All the best for the future. I thought he showed some promise. But that's not quite enough these days. ⚽️
  • I didnt get to sing my special song for him!

    # you're Sofiane, you probably think the song is about you.... ;wink
  • ;wave Good luck Sofiane, sorry it didn't work out.
  • Good luck, thought you could have done a decent job here.

Curses! I shouldve used the Sofiane song for Sofiane Boufal (for the upcoming Southampton match thread!) ;doh
  • Song was first used at Arsenal when Sylvain was playing for them.
  • Mutters I was in CA and never heard no Arsenal steal my pun/song ;whistle
  • £3.86 million that is ridiculous in this day and age.

Its like no one else seemed interested in signing him & we seem to have wanted him gone, but yeh, it does seem low, I wish him the best of luck and hope there are better players coming our way ;ok
  • That's a £3.86m profit though isn't it?
  • Hear somewhere that we only just break even as he was on £3mil a year

    Not a good deal imo

Actually quite like Feghouli many foreign players struggle to hit the ground running in the EPL and he actually.looked like he was settling and giving.half decent performances

His wages were extortionate but now we have left ourselves short (of snodgrass leaves) on the winger department
  • Yes it seems our reserve (former) winger was on similar money to Spurs' reserve left back
  • Champo

But we really have no idea what his wages were.

He was another Valencia, for me. Decent player in there somewhere, but not made for the PL.
  • He was on a free so you expect, well I do, that he would be on good wages.
  • Herb

That's as may be. I just don't see why people assume that what is almost certainly a made up figure is the same as the real one.

Remember how Hart's Citeh wages almost doubled in less than a week?
  • They say he was one of our highest earners... though we'll never know for sure..

It's the 'they' that gets me.

There is clearly no reliable source for our (or any team's) wages, otherwise we wouldn't see such widely differing amounts in the meejah.

The fact that something is 'said', and that then lots of others say they heard it, doesn't mean that the original claim is any more true.
  • I'm not sure players wages are relevant any more (apart to them of course) in the grand scheme of things.
