    Ace, as far as I'm concerned, he is very welcome ;ok

    (I alluded to it somewhere earlier in the thread, I think. My concern that we keep it a 'private' league is to ensure it is for 606 members and family/friends - as long as you haven't been banned from the site.)

    I did a spreadsheet yesterday looking at the difficulty ratings (on the fantasy site) of each side's first 5 fixtures, and tried to get players from those with "easier" starts where possible.

    Huddersfield apparently have the easiest start (Palace (A), Newcastle (H), Southampton (H), WHU (A), Leicester (H)), and West Brom have a decent one too (Bournemouth (H), Burnley (A), Stoke (H), Brighton (A), WHU (H)).

    I'm at a loss when it comes to the newly promoted teams.

    I need one or two of them (on account of their cheapness) but know nothing about them.

    Early on, I had Yedlin, but he's injured.

    I;m reasonably happy with my first XI now (famous last words ;doh ;lol ) but need to tinker with my subs (and all for £2.50 and a packet of polo mints).

    There isn't one yet, outcast. So far you, me + Munich have expressed interest. Do you think it's still worth doing if there are only 3 of us? I was thinking we might need about 6 to make it competitive.

    Yes, there is a 'timing' issue, although from what I understand, you can set up your lists of players in advance and if you are absent at the time the draft takes place (which time is decided by the individual league) the software automatically selects the highest available player from your list in each round. (Or something like that.)

    I guess if we did gather enough players (we are up to 4 now) we still have time to organise it? Deadline is 6.45pm UK time Friday.

    Ok... I have taken the liberty of setting up the draft league purely because I'm way off the English + Europe time zone

    I've set the draft day for Thursday 10th Aug (tomorrow)
    I've set the draft time for 630pm

    If anyone objects or has a better day and time I'm happy to change it or go with the majority

    Setting it up means I can produce a rough draft list and get my team selected for me rather than having to be present at 6.30pm. Also,setting it for tomorrow gives everyone a chunk of time to set their own draft lists if they wont be present.

    At the end of the day its going to initially be a bit sketchy for all of us as there's no experience doing it and we've no idea who we'll eventually get! ;wahoo

    Hope that's ok and I am not treading on any toes (not intentional - just saw there were 5 potential players so I jumped in for the 6th - hopefully the other 5 players will still come in to make it 6. If 2 others want to jump in the league min and max = 2 min and 8 max players)

    Baz, cheers, was going to do it this morning. I'll have to hope the automated thing works, as I'll not be home at that time. Gotta go get my watchlist sorted. ;run

    Edit - a slight misunderstanding (it could just be me) but to clarify, the draft is Thursday (today) at 6.30pm UK time.

    Just made even more changes to my normal FF squad ;doh Very indecisive about who to start with. Every time I think I should go with certain players I read something that makes me ;hmm about them. Different shapes to teams, which players will be left out allied to rotation etc etc ;wahoo I'm still miffed Trippier is injured and I think if he hadnt been I'd have settled on how I spread my 100M about. Now I've chopped and changed, made countless lists/permations and decided (like the Prem teams) I want a 25 man squad (which will obviously lead to which 11 start LOL)

    with the draft team in mind, I believe the drawing order is random and then changed around every one of the 15 drawings. So we dont know who'll get first pick etc etc

    Sooooo...... With that in mind, for those of us who are going to draft play, who is your top draft pick? ( I have 5 strikers and 5 Midfielders in my top 10)

    Guessing a lot of people will put Kane as their No1 draft pick... I haven't, so if I'm first to pick then the next person will be lucky ;wink

    The drawing order is random first, but then I think it reverses for each round. So if you are in the middle, you stay in the middle ;puzzled

    Was the first thing I looked at ;lol

    Before season starts you can bazfer in from the pool of free players and its subject to the same sort of picking order ( in case others want the same player) as with the initial draft picks.

    When seasons starts, any bazfers sought mean that lowest team gets first pick

    Thats how I interpreted it anyway.

    You will notice that my original question has gone, because between asking it and you answering, I found the 'rules'.

    My understanding is this, once the season is underway...

    If you want a new player you can submit a waiver request. These are not guaranteed to be successful* (as you say, they are processed in a particular order with whichever team is bottom of the league getting 1st choice). All waivers are dealt with 24hrs before the GW deadline.

    In the subsequent 24 hours leading up to the GW deadline you can then do 'free agent transfers' which (they say) is like transfers in the normal FF.

    For our league (because we are doing it so late) it will be the case that up to the start of the season we will only have the 'free agent' players available (no waiver thingy).

    I'm still a bit ;puzzled

    The kid in me wants to alter the start time from 630pm to 5 minutes from now so I can see what my team is before bed ;biggrin However, Alders is missing from our list and I believe he wanted to join. So I'll be an adult ;weep

    If 6 players we still would need 18 strikers, 30 defenders and midfielders and 12 goalies! So thats 90... Assuming that if I run out of watchlist players that it'll just assign me the rest?

    Because the draft 'snakes' you wouldn't find yourself at the back of the queue for each position, so I don't think you'd need (for example) 12 goalies.

    Not sure of the maths to work out how many you would need though....
