In other news, it was one of those balmy, wondrous, inexplicable fantasy days where Mrs Grey actually incurred a 4 point transfer penalty. Her family and close friends are keeping a bedside vigil just in case there are any side-effects ;pray
Like you, I had to decide between Kane and Lukaku (we have same forward line, at least for this week til I TF hehe). It was a tough one. Lukaku in amazing form especially at home but Burnley pretty hard to break down. Kane just back from injury but looked ok last week and Spurs (unfortunately) playing like the best team in the country currently. So I picked Kane (he should've scored at least one more, missed a sitter but unlucky not to have another assist at least too) because I didnt think for a second Bournemouth would keep them out and would concede a few too.
My GFs team is ripping it up at the moment! I wanted to bring Baines back for today (after TFing Coleman recently) but couldnt afford him. So I brought in Jagielka for her (lol for me) despite him already scoring twice recently. That team can do no wrong and has zoomed up to 55,000 from nowhere in recent weeks. 86 points today and still has 3 players left to play!
Actually, after just having a peak, if Bellerin doesnt play you get 6 points. So you dont want him being used as a sub (unless he scores or assists of course)
So now, with a bunch of points on my bench, the worst case scenario would be for them to come on as part of a time-wasting sub 5 mins from the end. ;doh
I think Walcotts got more chance of coming on so you could be ok. Depends if Arsenal need a goal. Maybe Bellerin will only come on if someone gets injured ( unless he replaces Ox at RWB after an hour or so ;hmm )
Yours played 120 minutes recently but at least hes been on a scoring streak ( if he isnt rested for Rooney or Martial ) ;whistle
I, last minute, decided to bring in Negredo for Carroll after not planning on making any bazfers ( why isnt there a fainting imoji? ). I didnt want to drop any of my midfield five, hence the lack of desire to bring in a replacement forward and genuinely cant remember if I put Sanchez or Alli on the bench ( a horrible choice! )
I've never had much faith in Negredo but my only other viable alternative ( Rashford) for the money just provoked the thought he'd be rested in one of the games. I went with hope that Negredo would score and Lukaku wouldnt ( yes.... ). Hoped he would against Sunderland anyway and play in both games. I must be getting tight with my transfer points in my old age. I'll make up for it next week with at least 2 transfers ;biggrin
I know what you mean about Rashford. He might not start (but then again, he might) in both games, but I'd be surprised if he didn't at least feature in both at all.
Having Walker on the bench might not be a bad thing as it wont be easy to keep a clean sheet at Palace. Also at Arsenal ( with Bellerin in mind) if Wenger carries on with the back 3 then he will have to contend with Ox as RWB. At Man Utd the amount of matches they could potentially have sees Valencias place as an auto choice look dodgy too. I am a bit surprised Fosu-Mensah hasnt been used at all as he looked good last season
Not sure what to think of Walker at the moment. Both he and Rose were rotated at the end of last season and it seems recently that the same things happening with Walker and Trippier (making Walker an every other game liability).
Personally, with my own team in mind, I have doubts about Davies place in the team too as its rumoured Rose is close to returning
So there are definitely a few questions in the fantasy defensive area at the moment
He was on bench for the last two league games at least. He did really well last season but Mourinho isnt one of those managers that like to put too many youngsters in. He should've sent him out on loan if he wasnt going to use him all season.... Over to us for example ;whistle
As I thought, Mourinho rests Rashford ( thought he would do so at Burnley after 120 mins in Europe and play him vs Man City )
Totally didnt expect Valencia to be out of squad all together. Pretty pleased I didnt make lots of TFs ( as is normal on double GWs ). Palace 2 hard games so no defenders in and a guy up front who doesnt score many. So only Zaha was worth a shot. Boro are just poor, knew they wouldnt be able to hold out vs Bournemouth so its like a 1 game week for them vs Sunderland for a team that just dont score many. I put in Negredo in hope rather than expectation and wouldn't have bothered if AC was fit. ManUtd dont have any players outside of Ibra who score many and that applies to midfield especially. Martial hardly plays so hes in today. Same for Rooney plus despite their defender injuries only an optimist would think Valencia, Blind, Shaw, Darmian would play the two games. Bailly may do but he doesnt offer any goal or assist threat plis how likely is it that Man Utd will keep a clean sheet vs Ciheh? No chance with tired legs, injuries everywhere and minds on Europe too!
Picking any defenders who represent a threat further forward (and maybe a clean sheet) and will actually get to play 2 games in the double GWs over the next few weeks is pretty tough at the moment. I can only think of a couple of candidates off the top of my head ;whistle
I didnt think he'd score against Spurs. I dont think he even had a shot ;phew
As for your H2H, if Rashford scores twice (or maybe a goal & assist if Valencia doesnt play as Walker gets you 5) and subsequently gets man of the match you'll get out of jail & also have a not bad GW. Not out of the question as he's quick allied to Man City hardly being a water tight defence!
I think Mourinho says Valencias recovered from a knock. Shame as if he doesnt play I get 9 extra points. I just need De Gea not to keep a clean sheet ( unless he saves a pen ) & I'll sneak a H2H win as triple captain Pogba is injured (phew! +luckily for me) plus be breathing down the necks of the H2H top 5 ;whistle
Currently resisting wanting to make about 4 Tfs! ;nonono ;whome

I am still myself ... as you see by my once again not giving the armband to my highest scorer.
Proof that my marbles are still safely in the marble tin.
Yay.

I didn't even look ... Bellerin ALWAYS starts.
What are the chances?

I might have made that up. ;puzzled

And can I just say, what a shocker. ;doh
I had 6 players playing twice... they have an average of 2 points each. Including my captain.
Unless Man U have a stormer, I'm going to stomp of in a sulk. ;angry
;wink
