  • Awesome. I feel they are not taking it seriously though. Who will laughing when a zombie is tucking into their brains though. Not them I suspect ;ok
  • All the Die Hard films ;bowdown
  • Agree ;thumbsup
  • Which ones your fav, mrs grey?

Mine is 3. The one with Samuel L Jackson and Jeremy Irons ;clap
  • Hated Die Hard 5.

    Loved 1 and 3. ;bowdown

2 and 4 were decent. ;ok
  • Chariots of Fire. Awesome film, awesome soundtrack, great cast. ;ok

Original Die Hard for me, then started to go a bit downhill but Samuel L and Jeremy Irons bring some great hammy but v enjoyable acting. ;ok
  • The 3rd one's still my favourite, too ;thumbsup

Then ;hmm 4 I think. Hated 5. (In fact, until you mentioned it, I'd forgotten it existed ;lol )
  • There's a Die Hard 5????
  • The 3rd one's still my favourite, too ;thumbsup

It's taken a long, long, long....long time Mrs Grey, but we've found something we agree on ;whistle
  • Yep 3 is the best!
  • Happy Gilmore ;clap
  • Twist, yup - 5. You really don't want to bother.

As for agreeing, it seems we can only agree on something not football-related ;biggrin
  • Pulp fiction, Shawshank redemption, Saving private Ryan, Elf are among my favorite movies.

Band of brothers, One foot in the grave, men behaving badly for series.
  • Shawshank and elf ;thumbsup
    Castaway also.
  • Shawshank Redemption is a stunning film, but very difficult at times.

I still enjoy The Bourne Identity (first one).

    The Lego Movie is awesome!

As for tv, two of the best from when the Beeb did excellent adaptations ...

    I, Claudius with Derek Jacobi

War and Peace with a very young Anthony Hopkins.

I also loved the original Randall and Hopkirk, deceased (the Reeves and Mortimer remake wasn't bad).

    Was pretty good....
  • Bourne, yes! Forgot about that. Loved 1 + 2. Wasn't so keen on the 3rd (looked llike they swept up the bits off the cutting room floor from the earlier movies and spliced them together).

I confess to being a bit partial to ;sub movies - The Hunt for Red October, and Crimson Tide.
    Crazy Ivan ;wahoo
  • Love Tarantino films.

    Django, Pulp Fiction, Inglourious ;bowdown
  • I loved The Hunt for Red October ;clap

  • Looking forward to seeing Before I go to Sleep.
  • I also love Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil & True Romance.
  • ;ok Luke

Dusk to Dawn was good too.
  • Dusk to Dawn ;ok

    Pulp Fiction ;meh

But I never really got the Tarantino thing.

    Gratuitous violence ;puzzled

Although ... Jackie Brown was excellent!

I like a 'caper' movie. The Sting. Oceans 11. The Grifters. House of Games.
  • Suz,
Love Hunt For Red October - Seen it umpteen times but still love it!
TV - QI; Mock The Week; 8 0ut 0f 10 Cats Does Countdown are funny!
Addicted to The Chase- One of the Chasers (Paul Sinha) was a doctor in the hospital I work in and he also does stand up comedy.
Also Tipping Point and Pointless- I have picked up a lot of information which may come in handy for Pub Quizzes!
I also watch Football (what else), Athletics, Rugby Union, Horse Jumping and Triathlon.

  • Dee - 8 out of 10 cats countdown is great ;ok A league of their own v good
