Ex said that Nuno was impressed with Alvarez & wanted to keep him, hence he started against Pompey

There was then interest from Real Sociedad, which hasn’t now materialised, & that meant that Alvarez then pulled out of the following games to protect his chances of a transfer

That’s all the speciation so far but, to be fair, ex is one of the most reliable ITKs on social media

I imagine, if he’s still here after Tuesday, Nuno will want him back in the squad
  • Well that's 2pm somewhere in the world.
  • Got a feeling that this Morato will be the final signing, only just over 24 hours left & the fact he can cover CB/LB, I hope for another 1-2 other than him
  • Why 2pm. The window closes at 11pm

Oh, my bad, I thought I saw somewhere it was 2pm....Oh dear, another 9 hours of torture for some then...!!!
  • Perhaps you read it as Roman numerals.
  • GP sent him off to Turkey, but soon after NES came in there was a report, sorry no links, that said Nuno would like him to return to play for us. He did start v Portsmouth so answers on a postcard about what is actually going on.

On rumours of Alvarez return from Turkey, it was reported that “There is no recall clause for Edson Alvarez” though Clubs could have agreed to cancel the loan, subject to compensation.

  • There are West Ham fans on social media saying we should get rid of Bowen. 🤷‍♂️

I guess everyone is entitled to their own thoughts, like I said, it's just a handful of comments, but the article brings a good point up about Alvarez & Magassa staying instead.....

    Who told you?🤷🏻‍♂️

  • Deal Sheets: According to TNT Sports, Premier League clubs can submit an official "deal sheet" between 9:00 PM and 11:00 PM on September 1. This grants teams an extra two hours (until 1:00 AM) to finalize paperwork, provided the core agreement was reached before the deadline.

Free Agents: Clubs can continue to sign unattached free agents even after the deadline has passed

We will be alright on the second one due to our lack of money.

Better not go to bed then =) ....Oh come on someone was going to say It
  • Any chance we can get Rico Henry from Brentford now they have Diouf
  • Apparently Melvin Bard, French U21 International, from Nice is our preferred LB option. Talks with Nice are ongoing. There is a back up in the wings.
  • Someone on X claiming both Morato & Bard are off as PL clubs came in for both players.

If we fail to sign a LB imo it will be a shocking decision …

Does that mean the bar is open 😁
  • looks like Bard is going to Leeds
  • Need another CB to be signed today 🙏.
  • Brother, Sounds like Much Ado About Nothing.
  • If we fail to get both a CB and LB in then IMO we’ve failed, unless Alvarez remains, then I’d say LB is a priority IMO

jay, They have a plan as they knew that most if not all our best players were leaving weeks ago 😉.

Alverez had a good season under Moyes (albeit with too many cards) which. is an occupational hazard for a DM, it was Potter who showed him the door.

I think when you look at his profile, Mexico international, still fairly young, defensive midfield player, cost nearly £40m, captain, player at Ajax successfully - why is nobody wanting him?

He was ‘ok’ under Moyes, but he’s got no pace, gets caught out of position before his lack of pace to get back shows & is reckless & rash in his play. There is a reason even Fenerbache didn’t fancy him for long.
The only reason I posted about him sprinting the length of the pitch to score past Pickford (in stoppage time) was to highlight he can run, he maybe not super fast but quick enough.
  • Wout Faes?

Have we really sunk that low?

Have we really sunk that low?

    Yes!
  • The Leicester fans I know have been trying to get rid of him for years they will be laughing their heads off at this!
  • Looks like David Luiz's Belgian lovechild

    Plays like Krusty the Clown
