  • So shows us the money DK! =)
  • Does anyone remember the last time a Czech millionaire/billionaire was in the news with some dodgy behaviour?
    Let's hope it's not a national trait. =)
  • I don't think Kretinsky's behaviour is dodgy but if it is then one every 30-40 years doesn't seem to be "a national trait"

Compared to the dodgy behaviour of British billionaires/millionaires (Phillip Green, Ernest Saunders, Fred Goodwin, Nigel Farage, etc) its almost saintly
  • Football regulator contacts police over David Sullivan allegations
Independent football regulator seeks information from Essex Police as part of inquiry into 77-year-old’s suitability for ownership at West Ham, where he remains largest shareholder.

Headline from the Times, it's behind a paywall so haven't actually read it but feel it's still worthwhile posting.

This is a snapshot of what is in there -

“Now, The Times understands, the regulator has been in touch with both Essex Police, which is investigating the claims made against Sullivan, and the FA as part of the new checks it can make under its new owners, directors and senior executives (ODSE) framework.

A spokesperson for the independent football regulator (IFR) said: “The IFR’s enquiries into the suitability of David Sullivan under our ODSE regime are active and ongoing and we are in touch with relevant authorities as part of this process.”

Couldn't see a way to view it without accepting all their cookies, so I declined to read it.
  • That's the spirit! I like cookies especially the chocolate ones.

I am getting a bit tired of C&H and especially Gonzo, a lot of his stuff is boring nonsense.

If Palace really were "cherry picking" our players they'd be after Bowen, Mavropanos and Taty not Magassa

Magassa has been left out of the match day squad, was an unused substitute for just one friendly and has been the subject of transfer speculation all summer.

Nuno hardly used him after Christmas, he only had one appearance in the last six games, coming on in the 88th minute when we were 3-0 down at Brentford

The difference between us and is Palace are a Premier League club and we aren't
  • C&H are clickbait merchants.
  • Yes that’s your view & it’s not the same as theirs 👍 but some don’t see it as boring nonsense. Do you hold the same opinion of “Claret & Booze” & “The Bobby Moore Stand” as they have been calling out NES for months and predicted he would relegate us?
  • The only ITK I take any note of is Ex. The rest have their opinions but so does the bloke down the pub, as do I. They are trying to generate traffic through their Youtube and X channels which is fair enough but not from.

As for calling out relegation, well that was a 50/50 call which they called right.
  • 50/50? It was more likely 90/10 the way we were playing.
  • I have no idea who “Claret & Booze” or “The Bobby Moore Stand” are, don't think I've ever read any of their stuff

I certainly don't agree that Nuno got us relegated, we'd struggled the previous season with two managers, we were already in the relegation zone when he took over and I doubt if anyone could have done any better

I blame Sullivan for not giving Moyes a new contract

I blame Sullivan for not giving Moyes a new contract

I blame Sullivan for taking the sheap option, as he always does, when finding Moyes's replacemnt and hiring Lopetegui.

  • Bizarrely he was the only one of our owners at the game Saturday.
