Leeds have only won twice away from home but have drawn 9. Everton have won more and lost fewer games away than at home. Hopefully on Sunday Leeds stats stay as they are and Everton add one more win.
Don't expect Everton to throw in the towel but would be better if they were a bit closer to the European places, they could technically finish 8th but requires others losing and by a few goals as their GD is quite a bit worse than the others
Whatever happens this is my club as it has been for a long, long time and I will continue the agony ( and very occasional ecstasy) albeit from my armchair these days.Once it’s in the blood there’s no going back. WHTID.⚒️
That is one of the issues, the fans like ourselves have all the emotional stake but little, if any, of the ability to steer the club. Those temporary custodians who choose when they come and when they leave have the ability to change the course of the club and allow it to flourish or fail. They can walk away but we are always with the club.
I’m completely with you Slacker. Born in West Ham before the war, Watched from my Dad’s shoulders until I got too big, when he then made me a folding stand. Always in the Chicken Run with its memorable smell of beer and tobacco. The noise under that tin roof was something else. Yes, I’ll support them in the Champo too. We might begin to win more games than we lose, and that would be a lovely change!
Once a Hammer etc. You can’t shake it off although they have a lot to answer for. I got engaged to my wife at Geoff Hurst’s testimonial dinner in 1970 and we’ve now been married 54 years and I can’t shake her off either.
Reading some of the opinions and comments from Spuds fans, they seem more worried than us about tomorrow, yet only 1of the possible 9 results will relegate them - such faith in the team. Let's hope they get on the players' backs on Sunday and the nervousness is catching. COYI.
It's such a shame as we were so close to having Spurs relegated bur we will just need to rely on Moyes now and hope we can do our bit. Personally I think we will win but Spurs will get a draw and survive by the skin of their teeth.
The odds suggest we have a 10% or so chance of surviving. I just have a nasty premonition that we may be relying on a David Moyes side to defend a lead, and the criticism coming out of Everton recently has sounded awfully familiar!
It could be one of the best days as a West Ham fan, not only surviving but sending Spurs down, or one of the worst. I fear we missed our opportunity to keep it in our hands and will pay for that today, but there is always hope and final day of the season has certainly thrown up the unexpected before.
I don't think it is one of the worst. There have been 37 previous matches which may have been one of the worst. Today we are where we are. Go out, enjoy it, win it, and let fate do what it will.

Definitely overdue an away win

I would hate to lose only for them to lose to Everton and stay up anyway
I'm just hoping Leeds have got their minds on the beach.
