This should be a straight run off - the one with the most agrees, Luke or grey (with his awaited detailed response) is telling the truth. The loser is a liar who should hang his head in shame.
I’ve seen a lot of these rumours this morning Rav. Based solely on Mancini being in the director’s box at the LS on Wednesday night, from what I can tell.
If you look though his Twitter page he was at the Arsenal game on Tuesday night too so I wouldn’t read too much into it.
Not sure what Slav has got wrong as he has a reasonably average by premiership satandards squad of players playing pretty well, tries to play attacking football and is passionate in a refreshing way. There is one thing that someone must accept responsibility for in my view which is the appalling summer business which set us back just when we had momentum on our side. Now this could have been all down to Slav, Sully or most likely a combination of both, but either way it is not a fatal mistake in my view and one we are hopefully learning from.
I will say that I do not believe these rumours anyway but were they true and the owners asking if Slav has done well enough and is the man to take us forward, I would in his defence feel that anyone would be equally able to put the same question to them about themselves. I have no particular issue with the owners but the question would be just as valid in my opinion. Slav is not performing to top 6 standard but neither are they.
My personal suspicion if we are to have a change of manager is that it would be Benitez, he already has a line of communication open with the owners, has made sounds about being unhappy about the window business done at Newcastle and is highly likely to have had long enough to work out the behind the scenes issues that seem to exist at Newcastle and have dogged them ever since Ashley took over. There is a possibility he may fancy a move to London. A summer move if at all however in my book, and for me I hope Slav shows again he is our man (he dragged those points in our direction before Christmas despite confidence and moral at rock bottom) and once African players back, Snodgrass and Fonte settle in I think he will have a team that gives us something to look forward to again.
Worst team in the league without the ball... don't press, don't sit in, don't double up, don't track back quick enough happening all season https://t.co/Q2o8NQeHWv
They aren't allowed to sell up for a few years though are they (as part of the stadium deal)?
That only applies if they sell the whole club I think, there is nothing to stop them selling part of the club to a new investor who will then pay them back any outstanding loans they have made to the club (with interest of course), then buy the rest over a period of time - say 5% per year. Providing they do not show above the agreed profit levels over that period, they would pay little or nothing, once the time constrain has passed they can sell the rest which could all be profit.
I personally think that Bilic is great for our club. He still needs a good defensive coach (perhaps he could sign ;bfs although, based on today's result I'm not sure) and a decent scouting network. I am absolutely happy for us not to buy big and go all out marquee, scour the lower leagues and get players who are hungry.
Just to play devils advocate and then run off to bed.... If we actually did sack Bilic and you had to pick any current manager in the Prem., who would you choose?
I'd pick one of Conte, Poch or Koeman (Mourinho would be my last choice!)

Otherwise that's just like pressing a disagree button ;wink ;whistle
Plus 7 of my paragraphs are factual. ;biggrin
I don't think having Hogan in the team on Tuesday would have changed the outcome of the game.

In which case my response to your previous post is: ;hmm
It's not like pressing any button, imo. I'm simply saying I disagree with what you said.
We've been very strong in the past on not pushing people to respond beyond what they are happy with, or interested in.
You started with: So there is no point in any further response, beyond disagreeing with your unsupported assertions, imo.
You want to make stuff up with no evidence, that's fine, but I fail to see why you expect a detailed response to your flight of fancy.

Please for God sack someone find us a decent RB so we dont have to pay 3 at the back....
And Slav was meant to be under pressure?
The pressure comes next season when we should be in the Top Six and in the latter stages of both Cups. ;whistle
Lyall took 63 games to get 25 First Div wins, Greenwood 70, Arry 72, Glenda 76, Sam 81
None of the others won 25 top flight games, Pards got 20 in 55 games and Curbs 23 in 61.
Day off, bored.
