Does ex know anything anymore? A handful of the writes on various aggregator sites have said that the changes at the board level have meant no information is coming out. It would be if everything changed personnel wise but his contacts all stayed
I'm not sure it's worth it, personally. This is someone who Chelsea haven't even let train with their first team, and will get 0 minutes for them. He's about their 8th choice centre back. There's nobody else in for him at that price. The record signing for a Championship player is £24m. So he'd be the most expensive signing in the division ever. I know he played well for us, but that feels like poor value, poor business to me. If we could get him for about £15m I'd be all in.
Wolves striker Tolu Arokodare forced the cancellation of a training session after he refused to leave the pitch. [He] sat down and demanded the club let him move to Fiorentina.
I am amazed at that record signing stat. I feel we may be breaking that this window for someone. The report suggests Roma and Milan may be in for him and if you put a 25m bid in context of what we paid out for Kilman and Tobido he is real value at that price. What I liked most is his attitude and leadership he showed, I think that will be much needed in the Championship.
Had we been invited to make his loan permanent for 25m had we stayed in the Premier I would have been in favour of doing so, and he will be so much more effective still in the Championship.

What would you value him at if we hadn't been relegated? Any different?

Not really, because I don’t see Chelsea being able to sell him without lowering their asking price.
Rangers are set to formalise their interest in Brighton winger Amario Cozier-Duberry.
Anderlecht had a £5m bid rejected. Hull, West Ham, Paris FC & Red Bull Salzburg keen on the former Arsenal academy graduate. Brighton want him to sign a new deal.
21yo, England U20 left footed RW but can play LW, signed a 4 year contract in 2024
Spent last season on loan at Bolton in League One, 41 appearances, 10 goals, 13 assists
Was voted Bolton Young Player of the Year and Players' Player of the Year. made League One Team of the Season, was nominated for League One Young Player of the Season
2024/25 he was on loan at Blackburn in the Championship but only got 6 starts out of 22 appearances so Brighton might think another season on loan in the Championship would be good for him
Palace will struggle this season having lost Glasner. They have Europa matches and a new manager. Were it not a very poor Premier League this year on account of the promoted sides I would put them up for relegation, but I think it's one of those seasons in which all three that came up go down. Lampard out by Christmas.
Out of interest I just looked up record sales from the Championship. Fernandes is by miles the largest fee received for a Championship side, and Summerville (when finalised) will be second.
Fernandes to Spurs - €99m Lavia to Chelsea - €62m Fernandes to West Ham - €52m Rutter to Brighton - €46m Maddison to Spurs - €46m
Like others my main concern on the Disasi front is that we could end up with the “Max Kilman” version of Mavropanos from early last season. That makes Disasi worth even more IMO. A possible championship pairing of Kilman and Mavropanos fills me with dread.
Maybe it's blind optimism from me, but when I see the fact that Dara O'Shea was a near ever present at centre back for a promoted side last season, Kilman and Mavropanos doesn't trouble me in the slightest. Kilman was awful last year, but if we'd stayed up I would have expected him to leave to a promotion contending Championship side at an absolute minimum.

At the moment I’d even take Dara O’Brian over Kilman……😝⚒

I heard on a podcast it was €24m, not £24m, but even that was high.
According to the BBC, Ipswich broke the record last year at €20m - £17.5m.
