FA Cup 3rd round - other matches

3rd round kicks off tonight. I am not planning to watch any of the games...unless we have any skin in the game.

Only connection I've seen so far (very tenuous) is the Baldock link to MK Dons. Not enough to make me watch. So I'll be scrolling on the BBC.

Anyone else got a personal or emotional connection to any of the matches tonight?

Nothing much on tonight so watching a bit of Wrexham v Forest. Wrexham 2 up at the moment. Forest made 6 changes from Tuesday and are currently paying for it.
  • Interesting. Did you see the article on BBC by Pulis about why the idea of targeting a Cup Run is a thing of the past?

    Maybe Exeter.

Hoping we can keep it below 10!

    Which is tomorrow, not tonight.
  • Wrexham on pens. We won’t be the first to go out to a lower league team.
  • Macclesfield's goal would have been disallowed by VAR in the EPL.
  • @Fortune, presumably for a slight nudge to the back of a defender
  • Dawson with a thumping header. Now where have I seen that before? 🤔
  • Yes Dodger I expect so & that is one of the ways IMHO that VAR doesn't improve the game in the EPL.
  • Certainly not “clear and obvious “
  • 2-0 now haha
  • Macclesfield now 2-0 up, deservedly so.
  • Everton miss there first 3 pens and go out to Sunderland

  • Forest .Palace. Everton out already we might win this thing =)
  • Having scored a last minute penalty to survive in the first place.
  • Having scored a last minute penalty to survive in the first place.

Which IMO was never a penalty in the 1st place....
  • Man city 6 up ,Perhaps we wont win this thing =)
  • Watched the Sunderland game, great performance from the black cats and although it went to the lottery of penalties, any other result would have been a travesty.

Credit to the signings Sunderland completed pre-season, so many incoming players, none of them for silly money with only one real household name and yet they are more than holding their own this season.

Had never heard of Roefs before this year, Evertons efforts from the spot were admittedly pretty woeful but I do not wish to take anything away from Roef, he is the signing of the season in my mind.

Sunderland are the success story of this season, they were probably everyone's first pick for relegation but have secured their status by January. Sadly we are the opposite as I doubt many thought we would go down but it looks pretty likely as things stand.
  • Commentators saying spurs are bereft of confidence and ideas and urgency. What an El Classico next week is going to be.
  • Maybe Exeter.

At least the Grecians scored one!
  • thorn, Unfortunately they have played a hell of a lot better in the second half, ready for next weekend. :p
  • Earthy got an assist for Bristol City and the City forum was full of praise for him with remarks such as 'a class apart technically'. I am very pleased for him and convinced he has a career in front of him and hope it will be with us eventually.

100% hope we hang onto him he will absolutely make it for us at Championship level.
