    As always, it's the lack of consistency that is always so annoying, although I guess there's consistency in that the "big" clubs tend to get more leeway.

    I made the same comment to my daughter’s boyfriend whilst watching yesterday.
    I have no doubt that some players are almost ‘picked on’ whilst others appear to get away with blue murder. Paqueta often deserves his cards, but is also more likely to be carded than most others.

    Leeds just played really well at Sunderland & got a 1-1. They certainly don’t look like a team in trouble, currently.

    Lots of goals yesterday and for only the second time since the PL started there were 3 penalties in the first half of a game. Also for only the second time a penalty conceded and one scored by the same player in the first half. Both happened in our game.

    Riddle me this.

    Reece James plays the ball, and then plants his kicking foot. Rodri had meanwhile charged in to challenge for the ball but got there too late. His foot was on the patch of turf where James' foot planted... So stepping on Rodri's foot.

    Var check for a red card say nah, the player had nowhere else to put his foot down


    But it's a yellow?

    VAR can’t overturn a yellow. So, the ref gives a yellow card, and the only way VAR can do anything different is by recommending it as a red
