  • Upson wrong imo, it's not accidental, it's clearly deliberate.

    More crucial points thrown away

    This lot couldn’t manage anything
  • Mavropanos gets kicked in the head and it goes off the fellas arm. Surely can’t count?
  • So handball isn't handball
    Meds please nurse
  • I have no idea how that’s a goal
  • If we’d scored that it’s disallowed
  • Apology incoming from PL.
  • Ohhhh I thought we just might have got away with that - but we have once again invited the pressure onto us and paid the price
  • We’ve been asking for it since we scored
  • So handball isn't handball
    Meds please nurse

His arm was out, hardly a natural position 🤬
  • I also like how the high boot rule isn't applied when it's an overhead kick. Just before the goal, one of their players nearly took one of our players' head off

Whilst we keep making it easy for refs with not giving them decisions to make, they won’t make them

    Mavropanos needs to go down
  • Matt Upson talking rubbish. Whether or not you kick the guy in the face isn't what makes a high boot a foul
  • Great chance for Mavropanos, he had to score there.

Woulda taken a point before the match, but obviously gutted. Nuno still has a lot to answer for with his starting selection.
  • How's Mavro not scored
  • Mavropanos right at the death………..this game……..
  • It’s not handball, didn’t lead directly to goal & was accidental, that’s the rule

I thought we battled well and deserved at least the point. I can actually see a game plan. We now need an agile striker in January to start games and support Wilson who is very good off the bench.

    Unlucky not to win.
  • We should have seen the game out but given we can’t keep a clean sheet, it’s hardly a shock

Definitely looked like hand (or arm) to ball to me.
  • I repeat again our refereeing and VAR are a scandal regard how poor they are. Player controlled the ball with an outstretched arm, no one complains at all if that is wiped off.

That's actually right, but yeh, possibly Mavro should've gone down clutching his head, I don't agree with faking it, but, even if it was minimal contact would have been a foul.....

Oh well, feels like 2 points lost, but before the game would have been happy with the point, just hate that after taking the lead we allow so much pressure on us, and that's down to Nuno's tactics....Oh well, a point's better than nowt.....

Re the handball, the ball bounced off him onto his arm, look it wasn't given, we just have to deal with it I suppose....
  • I was expecting it to be but the rule is needs to lead directly to a goal & be intentional, can’t be intentional if it flicks off his thigh as he tries to control it
  • The high boot should’ve disallowed that goal. Where’s the consistency?

Same as Soucek not going down against Man Utd.

We need to be more savvy.
  • Not sure what I am most surprised at - how “good” we were or how “rubbish” Brighton were…I was most pleased with how we came out in the second half as we took the game took them and deserved our lead.

I feel we bring a lot of pressure upon ourselves by setting ourselves up to defend a hard fought for lead - I get that securing points is all important and we took a precious point today but Brighton were there for the taking today as they were having an off day and we could have and probably should have, taken all three
  • The ball was deflected onto arm so accidental
  • Agree Chicago. We need a better attacking bench to make that difference.
  • It’s our own fault, if Mavro goes down it’s probably a foul, he doesn’t, we need to be more savvy in our position
  • Encouraging performance but a sickening outcome. We had better chances. Brighton goal should not have been allowed. Through away points at Bournemouth and now at Brighton. What might have been.
