    I was impressed by the skill and attitude of Fernández/s. He even speeded up Paqueta by giving him short passing options. Given a choice, I'd pick Fernández and sell Paqueta.

    I would seriously like to see Craig Dawson back if he would reconsider moving South again. If nothing else he could show our current rubbish what is required of a CB. Plus he'd be cheap. ;)

    I’ve been surprised by the criticism I’ve seen online of Fernandes. I think it’s clear he’s always trying to do things quickly and link with others - the opposite of Paqueta constantly slowing the game down.

    I think time has moved on but even so I am certain our defending of crosses would improve overnight. Our league position is pretty much due to corners and crosses that were not dealt with. Dawson knew how to attack a ball in the air and not wait for someone else to decide where it was going.

    Nuno's brain is probably already whirring, if Scarles is out unto Feb and Paqueta wants out in January then it will fit perfectly, Scarles can come in and play the false 9 that Paqueta has been playing
