I am one point ahead of mycup opposition after today's play with bonus points still to be added. We both have one sub coming up which will extend my lead to two points and then I still have Snoddy to play whereas he is done.
I thought I was a gonna but then along came Felipe Anderson and now I’m in the draw. ;quaver And here’s to you Felipe Anderson, IronHerb loves you more than you will know, oh oh oh ;quaver
I have been drawn against a French player who is so much better than me altogether I expect my cup run to end. He/she has aroubd 300 points more than me already and got some 25 points more this gameweek.
I've got a Spud.... He's got a weaker team than mine and has made 1 more TF than me this week. I will soundly thrash him and send him crying into cup exit territory.
Chicharito is tricky as we dont know what the extent is. So, for me, the only real like for like viable option to him (as youve no spare money) is Himenez
Clyne looks like he'll be only a periodic player and probably Diangana too.
So, again, IMO I think Eriksen is overpriced for a player who doesnt score that many. Maybe his and Dianganas combined price of nearly 14M gets you 2 high 6 players or an 8 and a 6M combination?
That'd leave you with a little stronger squad (especially if you bin off Clyne for say a Watford defender)
Diangana and Clyne are the ones I'm wanting to shift. ;ok
Really disappointed in Clyne. After Trent A-A was injured, just as Clyne was coming back to fitness, I felt he would get game time (and would be good value in that Liverpool defence). Alas, that didn't work out. Even worse, he's been coming on for the last few minutes, getting me a point per game and keeping my higher scoring benc players from getting subbed in automatically.
Diangana despite not getting much game time wasn't too much of a worry earlier on, as he wasn't using up lots of my budget, but over this Xmas period, so many players are being rotated that I need my bench to be stronger.
Problem is, as you say, I'd really need to swap out both at the same time (or even make 3 transfers, ;nonono The Horror!).
Each time you make an extra transfer, your new player has to score at least 4 points more than the one they replaced to just break even. Which is tricky - especially as to make it worthwhile, they have to be a good option (imo) for the next few GWs. I don't want someone coming in that will be sitting on my bench next week. And l looking at the fixtures, a lot of the budget options have some tough matches coming up.
Erikson ;hmm He's scored 3 goals + 5 assists since I brought him in. And he's doesn't get rotated much. And even if he comes on for 20 mins or so, he can get you points.
Mrs Grey, you cant look at it as a 4 point catch up that week or project over a few GWs to theoretically bring in someone who'll get those points back and more over a period of time. It's a tough ask to hope consistently that any TF replacements will gain the deductions back the same GW although sometimes you can get lucky
I made 5 last week but justified getting rid of a few and having to juggle a couple of others to finance it. I spent 12 points and Digne gained me 9 back swapping him for Mina. I ended up getting 10/12 back for a mini wildcard I guess

We all know how that's going to turn out then.
