  • HAMMERS TO KEEP FEGHOULI?

Sky sources understand West Ham were in talks to let Sofiane Feghouli join Valencia this month.

But, when a West Ham fan suggested the club should keep Feghouli, Hammers co-chairman David Gold tweeted...

    I think you're right. dg
  • ;lol

Like one tweet would make them change their mind.
  • Off to Twitter to tell him to pay the £15m for Hogan...
  • ;biggrin ;devil
  • HAMMERS WANT GABBIADINI

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, West Ham are the latest Premier League club linked with Napoli forward Manolo Gabbiadini.

Southampton and Swansea are reportedly keeping tabs on the Italy striker too.

Slaven Bilic is keen to recruit a striker this month, having been knocked back in bids for Jermain Defoe and Scott Hogan

They are not going to get Gabbiadini for less than what they are asking for Hogan O_o
  • I'll be gobsmacked if they even entertained the thought of trying to bring in another serie A Italian striker..
  • Yeold

Does that matter? If they look at two players and think that one is worth £18m (for example) and the other is worth £12m, i assume that means they would be happy to pay more for the one they think is worth more money.
  • alderz i don't actually think they have that sort of money for this window. Unless Payet is already gone. Hence the lowball offers for every player we have asked for.
  • They have the £20m that would have been due for Zaza around this time if things had turned out different.
  • SKY BET TRANSFER SPECIALS

Sky Bet report good business in the Stewart Downing market this afternoon and have cut the Middlesbrough man to join West Ham from 12/1 to 5/2. Crystal Palace are still the even-money favourites, with Sunderland also prominent in the betting at 6/1.

He's 3/1 to stay at Boro - click here for the full market

    Allegedly been due. ;wink

Also, it might not have all been up-front payments. So it might not be an actual £20m in the piggy bank.

Plus, if Dimi has been playing up, and they knew they weren't keeping Zaza, they may have been raiding said piggy bank for Dimi sweeteners. Where else has that money come from, do you think?
  • Downing to West Ham?! Hahaha

That would've been pretty irresponsible given that if they knew Zaza was going, they would also have known we would need another striker.

  • West Ham and Brentford have had a breakthrough in talks over the transfer of Scott Hogan. The Hammers have offered about £13.5m in total for the 24-year-old striker. (Daily Mail)
  • That Irish Times article says that Payet wanted to leave because we haven't grown as a club by signing a striker. I thought it was family reasons? Maybe this is why people find the family reasons excuse hard to accept.
  • Maybe his wife was so upset that we signed Calleri and Zaza instead of Lacazette that she moved back to Franr in protest... ;hmm
