  • FA Cup winner prize money is £2.12M
  • But to win the final you earn £2.024m prize getting there plus tv fees, of which we earned £375k getting to the quarters.
  • Personally, I don’t find it difficult to feel positive, and I don’t feel numb to results. If other people do then that’s fair enough I get why that might be, but it’s not how I feel.
  • The reason I feel some positivity is the team are really together and trying and that gives hope. Nuno inherited a Championship side but has really got the best from them and tweaked where he could. There is definitely hope if Sumemrville is back as he was the difference in that run of games prior to his injury.
  • I for one am very hopeful, I have seen both effort and improvement in recent weeks with only very narrow margins keeping us in the bottom three..

That being said, there is no mistaking that Fridays game against Wolves is huge.

You cannot change the past but looking forward, the team appear up for the challenge and I am seeing enough to feed my confidence that we will prevail.

  • I would take right now the opportunity to play Leeds at home on the last day needing the 3 points to guarantee us staying up.

  • Seen some reports that there is concern that Disasi was holding his hamstring at FT?
  • I thought it was his groin.

Still puzzled by why Nuno started the game with Bowen on the left and Traore on the right wing, and moved Fernandez to the number 10 position for the first-half. All played out of position and we had a poor first-half. In the second-half they reverted to the their more usual position and we had a better display.

Why does Nuno do this? I remember, earlier in the season he played Scarles at right-back and that backfired too.

Nuno started Traore on the right because he's been fairly poor on the left so he thought Bowen was the better option

Fernandes was mostly a No. 10 when he was with Saints, with Potts and Magassa in the starting line up he was a fairly good choice to play a more advanced role

Whilst this was undoubtedly the logic behind the decision, I agreed with Pengeman that it was still a bad choice. Our recent improvements on the pitch, and Fernandes' growing influence on the team, have been with him starting as the deepest midfielder and building up through him. With Magassa and/or Potts in the midfield we lack that ability. I really like them both, but Potts is much more of a Mark Noble sideways midfielder and Magassa can be quite careless with his passing.
  • It’s so plain to see IMO without Soucek in the midfield we look a lot weaker , IMO of course ⚒️
  • Already stressed about this and its only Tuesday .I know I will be a basket case by Friday if not sooner

Whilst I agree, when you look back at our form since the QPR game, nearly all of our 'good' performances come with a midfield two of Fernandes and Soucek. Personally, I put a lot of the reason for that on Fernandes being in the two, as I think both Potts & Magassa look an awful lot better next to Fernandes too.
