Tottenham Hotspur v West Ham, Saturday 17th Jn 2026, 3pm.

Forgot to do this as not used to winning. 😬

Big game that is winnable. Spurs struggling at home, we're just struggling.

Always fancy winning last Spurs and so a 2-1 is on the cards.

  • It is strange that JWP does not even feature in the squad. His experience could have helped in closing the games, especially when we had been leading. Something is not right. I don't know what happened between JWP and Nuno at Nottingham Forest. Whatever it was, it has carried on when Nuno arrived at WHU. Treatment of JWP probably had a negative impact on the morale of other players.

WHU paid £30m for him in August 2023, and he played 37 games in 2023-24. Lopetegui came in May 2024 and JWP went on loan to Forest in August 2024, recalled by Potter in February 2025 and played games but ostracised by Nuno since his appointment.

Has he regressed so much that Nuno doesn't even list him in the squad? I guess we will hear more when JWP leaves WHU.
  • It is a strange one and seems personal between them, which is unfortunate. I can't believe with the poor bench we have that were it not personal he would not be worth a place on the bench.
  • Irrespective of how this season has gone, this is an important game and I know I can forgive a LOT if our lot show up and give spurs a game.

Irrationally, I am hopeful for tomorrow and believe we can get something from this one.

  • Spurs have a bit of an injury crisis

    How bad is it?

So bad that Frank announced that Yves Bissouma was available and he's been "Ward-Prowsed" since the start of the season!

There's no problem at the back with a settled back four of Porro, Romero, Van De Ven and Spence in front of Vicario. There's even back up with Davies, Danso, Dragusin and Udogie on the bench although Udogie is still recovering from a hamstring while Dragusin is looking to move with interest from Roma and RB Leipzig

After that it looks a bit thin. Bentancur, Kudus, Kulusevski, Maddison and Richarlison are all out for the foreseeable. Sarr is still at AFCON and they allowed Brennan Johnson to join Palace

In central midfield Archie Gray partnered Palhinha against Villa, Odobert, Simons and Tel made up the forward three while Muani replaced Richarlison up front after 30 minutes

Tel was rumoured to be another player looking to move in January but has been told that given the current situation he'll have to wait until the summer.

Solanke made his reappearance after four months off as an 83rd minute substitute and Bergvall "could be available" having missed the Villa game with a knock.

Conor Gallagher and Bissouma will give Frank a bit of wiggle room but otherwise the only options on the bench in recent weeks were 17yo AM/LW/RW Luca Williams-Barnett and 21yo CF Dane Scarlett

If that wasn't enough to deal with they've got Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League on Tuesday with qualification for the knockout phase still undecided.

So does Frank prioritise the league or Europe? Or does his best XI have enough legs to play twice in four days and pray no one picks up an injury?

I wouldn't be surprised if he sometimes wishes he were back at Brentford!
  • Well, after Aslef's summary of Spuds woes, there's only result - LOSS ;)
  • It will be interesting to see if Gallagher or Bissouma start as neither can play on Tuesday

Gallagher played for Atletico in the League phase so won't be able eligible until the Knockout phase and Bissouma wasn't included in the Champions League squad

Both should be match fit, Gallagher has appeared in 27 of Ateltico's 28 matches this season, clocking up 1065 minutes despite on starting 9 times.

While Bissouma hasn't played for Spurs this season he started twice in the AFCON Group stage, getting an hour both times, played 120 minutes in the Round of 16 against Tunisia then managed to get himself sent off in time added on at the end of the first half in the Quarter Final against Senegal
  • Looks like 4-4-2 today
  • Areola
    Wan-Bissaka - Mavropanos - Todibo - Scarles
    Bowen - Souček - Fernandes - Summerville
    Taty - Pablo
  • Areola, Wan-Bissaka, Todibo, Mavropanos, Scarles, Fernandes, Soucek, Bowen ©, Summerville, Taty, Pablo
Subs: Hermansen (GK), Walker-Peters, Igor, Kilman, Mayers, Rodriguez, Kante, Potts, Wilson
  • Interesting....Mavro fit to start, Potts on the bench, Magassa not in the squad.....COYI...
  • So elephant in the room where is Paqueta?
  • Off to Flamengo for £35m
  • So, Taty and Pablo start. Glad to see we are going with two strikers
  • So elephant in the room where is Paqueta?

Ex is saying Paqueta is injured; couldn't shake off the back pain, so not fit for this match.
  • Back pain = I want a move
  • Callum Wilson on the bench wasn’t what I expected to see
  • Great, Taty booked inside a minute.
  • Tatty booked in first min .
  • Ah, of course. They forgot to tell Taty that if we play on the 17th of the month, players aren't allowed to wave imaginary yellow cards.
  • Stupid
  • I don't disagree. But refs have been letting people get away with it.
  • You only need to see who the referee is to know we were up against it before kick off, remember who was on VAR when Cornets goal was disallowed at Stamford Bridge the other season!
  • Uh oh. I didn’t want to get my hopes up today
  • Get in…..Summerville
  • Get in, Summerville.
  • Woop woop.
  • There was a decent move prior to that that led to a half chance for Taty…now if we can only tighten up at the back…….
  • can't bring myself to get to excited =)
