It’s all “ifs, buts & “maybes” although due to his apparent inactivity in the transfer window of January 2021 Mr Moyes gave up a great opportunity for us to qualify for the Champions League. He should have left after our trophy success in Prague but as always that is just my opinion 👍.
Just read McNulty’s piece on the BBC website. “The games all about glory” yeah right Mr Levy. It’s about what we’ve all known for a long time - money. Football just stinks sometimes.

Sorry but what?
January 2021 was during Moyes’s first full season in charge, he was still sorting out the mess Pellegrini had left behind. Finishing 6th (above Spurs and Arsenal) and qualifying for Europa League was massive
And you think he should have done better???
Why would he quit after Prague? He wanted to stay and continue to build the team.
In my opinion we’d have been better off sticking with Moyes and Everton have benefited from our board’s stupidity

Because we were dreadful in the league, our bread and butter, finishing 14th and with Moyes intent on wanting short term, old, signings such as JWP and Maguire (which fortunately didn't happen) at way too high prices for long term progress. Our current, way too old squad, is in large part due to Moyes's transfer dealings.
@Mrs G, DM let Sebastian Haller leave in the January window 2021 I believe & never replaced him so we had one CF who was knackered by the end of the season. I am not the only person to pick up on this as many people (no links available) said much the same & they also commented (again no links) that we blew a golden chance to qualify for the Champions League.

Haller wasn't doing much, he started 10 Premier League matches plus another 6 as a substitute with just 3 goals. We cashed in on him and got Lingard on loan
Moyes said "we tried for a striker but the players we wanted weren't available."
He didn't buy a striker the season after that. We finished 7th and reached the semis of the Europa League.
If I were McKenna I wouldn't go near Brentford. Relegation there would wreck his career. (I'm only bothered because he's a possible future England manager)
My view is he will be ok but not the messiah they hope for. I think the Palace manager is the guy for the next big step up in grade and he will be a success wherever he goes.
Slacker if you fancy going undercover I have found some work for you on the spurs forum, some of those guys make our sometimes less than enthused attitude look like we are Disney theme park workers greeting a new season.
"You've one job Frank. Just keep the gravy train floating. Protect our share price. Bin off them silly cups and go all out to finish as high as you can in the league. We want European football every year but don't go trying to win them stupid trophies. Go out early and focus on the league again so we can get back into Europe and keep this cycle going. Look at that share price baby!! Don't start talking about trophies and success. Just keep the wages low and keep getting us into Europe baby. We're cutting costs by the way. I'm not signing anyone who wants more than 50k a week so find me some cheap championship players. Do the thing you did at Brentford and watch that share price rise baby!"

And as I explained politely, I can't understand that.
I'd be happy to engage further if I could grasp what underpins that position/opinion.
🥰🤣🤣

Rumoured that Frank wants to bring Kevin Schade with him
Mbuemo and Wissa also supposedly leaving this summer
Brentford scored 77 goals in all competitions, Mbuemo, Wissa and Schade scored 52
